You can use your Google account to sign in to Todoer. Google authentication provides a quick and secure way to access your account without needing to remember a separate password.
Signing in with Google for the first time
- Go to the sign-in page
- Click Sign in with Google
- Choose the Google account you want to use and grant permission
If the email address on your Google account matches an existing Todoer account, the two accounts are linked automatically. You'll be signed in and can use either Google or your password going forward.
If the email address is new, a Todoer account is created automatically using your Google profile information. No email verification step is required.
Viewing your connected accounts
Once linked, your Google account appears in the Connected accounts section of your profile page. You can see which Google account is connected to your Todoer account.
Setting a password for a Google-only account
If you created your account using Google and want to set a password so you can sign in without Google, go to your profile page and look for the Set password section. You can create a password that will allow you to sign in using your email and password as an alternative to Google.
Troubleshooting
- The Google button doesn't work — try clearing your browser cookies and signing in again
- "Email already in use" error — an account with that Google email already exists; sign in with your existing password instead
- Wrong Google account selected — sign out of Google in your browser, then try again
